True Dance & Company provides beginning to advanced dance classes for dancers ages 2 - Collegiate. Our experienced faculty strives to give your child a fabulous experience in all areas of dance, providing excellent technique. TDC offers three levels of programming: The Academy, The Company, and The Pre-Professional Ballet Program. TDC will guide your dancer every step of the way in their journey through dance.
The Academy consists of classes that progress a dancer consistently throughout their dance journey. We provide instruction in technique, flexibility, conditioning, and performance skills in all genres of dance. This program offers dancers with passion the opportunity to develop their love for dance without the time commitment of The Company. The Academy dancers are showcased in our annual recital each spring. This gives them a great opportunity to perform on a stage building confidence and showmanship.
The Company is a nationally and regionally recognized, award winning dance company. Company dancers train with our faculty as well as guest artists throughout the year. TDC’s Company is made up of our most talented, dedicated, and passionate dancers. The Company is the essence of TDC. This program is designed for serious dancers who seek not only excellent technique but performance opportunities which transition for many into collegiate dance programs and teams, as well as professional careers. Many of these dancers who graduate from TDC receive college dance scholarships, traineeships into ballet programs, and dance opportunities throughout the world.
The Pre-Professional Ballet Program is a ballet focused program for those students who want to strengthen their ballet technique to make them successful in ballet auditions in our community, regionally and nationally. This program is also designed for students who want to pursue a classical ballet career. Our program also offers YAGP, which is a nationally recognized ballet competition. Many of our students have received scholarships from YAGP to ballet summer programs, for their talent and training from TDC.
The Spring Recital is a unique annual performance which includes all dancers from each program TDC offers. The recital encompasses an original story ballet choreographed and written by our studio director, Shari True. Our recitals feature an Academy show, a Company showcase, as well as our amazing story ballet. Our shows are unique, professional, and enjoyed by audience members of all ages.
