Nebraska is a great place to live and raise a family! I have been blessed to be in Nebraska my whole life. My faith, family, friends and the thousands of children I have had the pleasure to watch grow-up over the 35 years I have taught has been a wonderful journey. 

 

As founder and Artistic Director of the Lincoln Midwest Ballet Company, it has been my pleasure and mission to raise a beautiful company I am proud of!  My life's work has been loyal to Nebraska, bringing dance opportunities to our great city! The Lincoln Midwest Ballet has produced a wonderful holiday tradition for families both in attendance and participation here in Nebraska.  I can’t even begin to tell you the thousands of children's lives this show has touched! This year, we embark on our 34th season at LMBC to present.  The Nutcracker is in December at the Lied Center for Performing Arts. The arts based educational outreach programs, master guest artists, incredible dancers, and programs the company has seen over the years are extraordinary! Please join me for auditions in September and become a part of beautiful holiday tradition.

It is a great pleasure to have both my daughters teaching at the academy. My oldest daughter, a graduate of Wesleyan University in Elementary Education, McKenzie True,  teaches amazing classes to our youngest dancers at the school. My Youngest daughter, McKaylee True, is a freshman dance major at the University of Arizona, the winner of the hit Lifetime Reality Series "Abby's Ultimate Dance Competition, and a former company member of the Lincoln Midwest Ballet Company, McKaylee teaches and assists our private solo students, and contemporary classes. I am blessed also with a son Mike True, who is a student at the University of Nebraska.

 

Nebraska is the good life and my family and I are big red fans through and through!
